Susie Barnes – Profile

Since her admission in 2000 Susie has worked predominantly in the areas of criminal and family law. Susie studied law at Otago and Victoria Universities. After graduating, Susie worked as a criminal defence lawyer in Sydney and later moved to Wagga Wagga in regional New South Wales to work in criminal and family law.

Susie came to the Wairarapa in early January 2015, and is approved as a lead provider of legal aid services in criminal and family law.

Susie has both New Zealand and Australian (NSW) practising certificates, so she can help you with Trans-Tasman issues including custody/contact.

Susie lived in France for a number of years when her children were very small, and she speaks fluent French.
